The Outdoor Education Coordinator is responsible for executing a recreational program that engages youth in a variety of outdoor activities and experiential learning opportunities to teach youth specific skills, an appreciation of the outdoors, respect for the environment and responsible use of natural resources. The Outdoor Education Program offers age-appropriate activities for youth in care, as well as activities for community partners and other MCH stakeholders. The program includes, but is not limited to, horsemanship, Alpine Tower, fishing, camping, summer camp, hosting community partners and stakeholders, and other physical education activities. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the Outdoor Education Program is operated safely and in compliance with licensing and accreditation standards.

The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Athletics Director in coaching the athletic teams as assigned by the Director of Athletics. This position is also responsible for supporting an athletic program that is consistent with the MCH model of care and providing opportunities for student-athletes to learn athletic skills needed to compete in sports offered as well as life skills that are needed for success in the classroom and in life after graduation. This position involves frequent contact with MCH residents not involved in athletics, direct care staff, teachers, administrative staff, schools, vendors, donors, visitors and other stakeholders.
