The primary areas of responsibility for a cook include preparing nutritious meals, demonstrating appropriate kitchen skills and maintaining the kitchen located in the dining hall. The Case Manager (Boys Ranch) is responsible for providing social services to children, youth and families that are consistent with the MCH Model of Care and ensuring a safe, caring and therapeutic environment for those served. This position requires the intellectual and emotional maturity to work with children, youth and families who are experiencing difficulty in providing appropriate care for the children in their care and children who have behavioral issues, developmental delays and mental health needs. This position also requires respect and compassionate understanding for these children, youth and families, and the ability to form effective working relationships with children and parents/guardians/managing conservators. Case Managers must have a thorough understanding of and demonstrated competency in the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and other evidence-based programs offered in the assigned area. The Resident Advisor monitors the Independent Living apartments and homes and ensures the residents follow program guidelines. The Resident Advisor provides encouragement and guidance to the residents to promote a safe and positive community of young adults. The Resident Advisor must exhibit the intellectual and emotional maturity required to work with residents who have social challenges and need assistance in preparation for transitioning to independence due to developmental delays, mental health needs and trauma.
