The Resident Advisor monitors the Independent Living Apartments and ensures the residents follow program guidelines. The Resident Advisor provides encouragement and guidance to the residents to promote a safe and positive community of young adults. The Resident Advisor must exhibit the intellectual and emotional maturity required to work with residents who have social challenges and need assistance in preparation for transitioning to independence due to developmental delays, mental health needs and trauma. The Youth Care Counselor cares for and supervises youth in care in the group home. The Assistant Coach is responsible for assisting the Athletics Director in coaching the athletic teams as assigned by the Director of Athletics. This position is also responsible for supporting an athletic program that is consistent with the MCH model of care and providing opportunities for student-athletes to learn athletic skills needed to compete in sports offered as well as life skills that are needed for success in the classroom and in life after graduation. This position involves frequent contact with MCH residents not involved in athletics, direct care staff, teachers, administrative staff, schools, vendors, donors, visitors and other stakeholders. This position requires a thorough understanding of and demonstrated competency in the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) techniques developed by the Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University.

The Athletic Trainer is responsible for monitoring the health of student-athletes and providing coverage for practices, games and competitions. The Athletic Trainer provides treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries and referral to other medical professionals when needed. This position also assists in coordinating and documenting annual physical examinations for student-athletes and maintaining treatment records for student-athletes. This position also requires respect and compassionate understanding for these children and their families, and the ability to form effective working relationships with children, parents and other caregivers. Case Managers must have a thorough understanding of and demonstrated competency in the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) and other evidence-based programs offered in the assigned area. The Case Manager must maintain a healthy value system, including moral and ethical behavior consistent with the agency’s mission and core values.

This position requires a thorough understanding of and demonstrated competency in the Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) techniques developed by the Karen Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University. The Clinical Therapist must possess strong organizational and leadership skills and exhibit the intellectual and emotional maturity required to work with youth and families who have behavioral issues and difficulty relating to others due to developmental delays, mental health needs and trauma. This position requires compassionate respect and understanding for individuals who have experienced complex trauma and the ability to balance the need for nurture and structure in the work with clients served. The Clinical Therapist must be able to form and maintain healthy relationships with clients and co-workers, effectively communicate with others, and regulate their own behavior in all situations.
